Fright Factory was another addition to Mattel’s Thingmaker line. The set allowed children to create horror movie-esque props at home.
Each Fright Factory set came with a Thingmaker unit, seven different metal moulds, four bottles of plastigoop, and a small number of complementary accessories. Kids could “be a Mattel monster” by moulding and adoring themselves with wearable fangs, claw fingernails, and scars. Additional frightful creations included shrunken heads, skeletons, and bones.
