Get ready to see things differently! Visionaries is returning to toy shelves for the first time in nearly 40 years.
Introduced by Hasbro in 1987, Visionaries was a toyline that incorporated holograms as its primary play feature. The series followed the heroic Spectral Knights and the villainous Darkling Lords as they battled for control of the planet Prysmos. In addition to the toy line, Visionaries expanded into an animated television series and comic books before being discontinued in 1988.
After previewing the license earlier this year at New York Toy Fair, Super7 has officially unveiled the first two figures in its new Visionaries ReAction+ line: Leoric and Darkstorm. Standing four inches tall, the figures feature classic O-ring construction, 12 points of articulation, and accessories inspired by the original toy line.
Both figures include removable helmets, backpacks, and staffs fitted with holographic stickers that reveal each character’s Mystical Personality. Each figure also comes packaged on a retro-style blister card featuring artwork and branding based on the original Visionaries release.
The first wave of Visionaries ReAction+ figures is available for pre-order through the Super7 website and select retailers. Individual figures are priced at $25 USD, while a two-figure set is available $50 USD. Shipping is expected to begin in August.
