Tyco – Precision Engineered HO Scale Model Electric Trains Catalogue (1959)

Tyco Toys (the name is a portmanteau of Tyler Company after company founder John Tyler) began manufacturing HO Scale electric model trains in the 1930s, eventually becoming the largest and oldest company devoted exclusively to the manufacture of those trains in the United States

This catalogue from 1959 highlights the company’s “ready-to-run” HO Scale product line. In addition to the wide range of engines, cabooses, and other cars available to collectors, the company also touted some of the precision-engineering standards that contributed to the line’s longevity and play value.
