Few characters command the toyetic appeal of Godzilla. A gargantuan fire-breathing dinosaur with a propensity for crashing through cities, the aptly named King of the Monsters remains a pillar of popular culture — one that begs to be preserved in plastic at every conceivable opportunity!
In 2023, Super7 will induct the beloved behemoth into its catalogue of high-end collectibles with the first wave of its Toho ULTIMATES! action figures. Featuring both Godzilla and Biollante as they appeared in the 1989 Kazuki Ōmori flick Godzilla vs. Biollante, the figures will scale at 8 inches tall and represent some of the nicest-looking monster figures to come out of the Western World.
Measuring an impressive 14 inches long, the new Godzilla figure is highly articulated and features premium details based on his big screen counterpart. Super7 has also loaded the figure with numerous interchangeable accessories for various display options. In addition to both a neutral head and a roaring head, a total of seven swappable hands are featured and include two claws, two fists, two expressive claws, and even a battle-damaged left hand complete with oozing green blood. A wrapped vine piece can also be placed around Godzilla’s neck in homage to his iconic battle with the petrifying plant creature.
Meanwhile, Super7’s new Biollante figure depicts the terrifying creature in its rose form and measures 10 inches wide with its vines sticking out. Like Godzilla, Biollante will feature plenty of premium details and an array of moving parts. Included with the monster will be both a neutral and roaring head, as well as six articulated vines, two removable vine heads, and two removable battle-damaged vine heads — all featuring articulated jaws.
