Originally released by James Industries in the early 1060s, Slinky Crazy Eyes transformed the familiar spring toy into a wearable novelty toy. This advertisement promoted them as “a sensation with young and old alike” and invited children to have fun with the “laughable novelty item.” For safety, the oversized eyeballs were mounted in durable polyethylene eyeglass frames, allowing the attached Slinkys to stretch and bounce as the wearer moved.
