Released in 1978, the Magnavox Odyssey 2 was a follow-up video game console to 1972’s Odyssey. The second-generation model included an alpha-numeric keyboard, used joy sticks for gameplay, and featured a colour television for visual display.
Magnavox’s 1980 catalogue for the Odyssey 2 showcased the library of available game cartridges for the console. The catalogue was divided into arcade games, sports games, and educational titles that could be individually purchased. Regardless of the genre, most cartridges offered users various playing options designed to challenge different levels of skill and expertise.
