Editor’s Note: In the early 1980s, UK-based Palitoy introduced Action Force, a toy line designed to capitalize on the growing popularity of 3.75-inch articulated action figures. The Action Force narrative centred on four military units: Z Force (army), SAS Force (special operations), Q Force (naval), and Space Force, who battled the villainous Baron Ironblood and his menacing Red Shadows. Palitoy produced a range of figures, vehicles, and playsets, many of which are now sought after on the secondary market due to their limited availability.
