In honour of World Space Week (October 4-10), Hasbro released a new On the Mood edition of the classic game, Trouble. It’s part of Hasbro Gaming division’s new space capsule collection, which also includes Monopoly Space and Battleship Outer Space.
Trouble: On the Moon has 2 to 4 moon-mission astronauts (ages 5 and up) race to the safety of their protective airlock. Basic gameplay remains unchanged from the original Trouble. Players move around the board via the iconic Pop-O-Matic dice roller. However, the Pop-O-Matic contains two die: one with numbers and another action die adorned with symbols that can change gameplay by putting players at risk or protecting them. For example, a player may roll the action die to move quickly around the board with space tethers, access an oxygen tank, or be put in peril due to low fuel in their rover.
The first player to get all 4 of their astronauts into their airlock is declared the winner.
In addition to the game board, Trouble: On the Moon comes with 16 astronaut pawns, 1 oxygen tank piece, 4 adhesive foam pads, and game rules. It is available exclusively at Target stores at a cost of $14.99 USD.
