Jinkies! Scooby-Doo has rolled out another mystery, this time with a Cybertronian twist.
Created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears, Scooby-Doo and his friends first appeared in the animated series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? on September 13th, 1969. Featuring the voices of Frank Welker, Heather North, Nicole Jaffe, Casey Kasem, and Don Messick, the series followed four teenagers and their talking Great Dane as they travelled in the Mystery Machine solving seemingly supernatural mysteries. Over the decades, the franchise has expanded through numerous television series, animated films, theatrical releases, comic books, and video games. A new live-action prequel series, Scooby-Doo: Origins, is scheduled to debut on Netflix in 2027.
Introduced by Hasbro in 1984, Transformers began as a toy line based on Japanese transforming robot toys from Takara. It quickly expanded into an animation, comic books, films, and video games, becoming one of the company’s most successful franchises. In recent years, Hasbro’s Transformers Collaborative line has paired the Autobots with a variety of pop culture properties, including Jurassic Park, Knight Rider, Ghostbusters, and even the Dallas Cowboys.
The latest crossover is Mysterious Prime & Automutt, which reimagines the Mystery Inc. gang and Scooby-Doo as Transformers characters.
Standing six inches tall in robot mode, Mysterious Prime converts into a Mystery Machine-inspired vehicle and includes four interchangeable heads representing Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy. The set also includes Automutt, a Scooby-Doo-inspired companion that transforms into a box of Scooby Snacks in six steps.
Accessories include a camera, flashlight, and interchangeable green and orange ascots that allow Mysterious Prime to better resemble different members of the Mystery Inc. team.
The Transformers Collaborative Mysterious Prime & Automutt set is available for pre-order through Hasbro Pulse for $57.99 USD and is scheduled to ship on September 1, 2026.
