The Strong Announces 2026 National Toy Hall of Fame Finalists

Polly Pocket, Bingo, and Sorry! are among 12 finalists considered for induction into the National Toy Hall of Fame’s 2026 class at The Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, New York.

The complete list of finalists includes: Bingo, Bop It!, Care Bears, Mahjong, Monster High, Mouse Trap, Pokémon Trading Card Game, Polly Pocket, Slide, Sorry!, Tickle Me Elmo, and Yahtzee.

“It’s debating season, and this year’s finalists give everyone plenty to talk about—from classic games to plush icons and other toys that have shaped generations of play. The debate is part of the fun because every toy sparks different memories and makes its own case for why it matters,” shared Michelle Parnett-Dwyer, senior curator at The Strong.

The National Toy Hall of Fame has inducted 90 objects of play since it was established in 1998. The 2026 inductees will join classics such as Clue, Easy-Bake Oven, Battleship, Lincoln Logs, and the Magic 8 Ball. Fans can help determine this year’s inductees by casting their vote in the Player’s Choice Ballot, open until September 23rd.

The National Toy Hall of Fame recognizes toys and games that have inspired creative play, enjoyed lasting popularity, and shaped childhood experiences across generations. Each year, nominated toys undergo a rigorous evaluation before the final inductees are selected.

The Strong will announce the 2026 inductees in early November. Read more about each of the 12 finalists on The Strong’s website.
