Prepare for a trip back to Middle-earth with the all-new Minas Tirith building set from LEGO.
Serving as the capital of Gondor in The Lord of the Rings, Minas Tirith is a fortified city built on the spur of a mountain and protected by seven defensive walls. For Peter Jackson’s film adaptation, the city’s design drew inspiration from Mont-Saint-Michel in France. Film critic Roger Ebert later compared the cinematic depiction of Minas Tirith to the Emerald City from The Wizard of Oz for its visual impact.
Created in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith set is designed for adult builders and commemorates 25 years of Jackson’s film trilogy. Crafted from 8,278 pieces, the model recreates the city’s layered fortifications, towers, and central citadel.
When assembled, the set stands more than 23 inches tall and over 24 inches wide. LEGO describes the build as a hybrid-scale design, combining a microscale city layout with minifigure-scale interior scenes, including the throne room within the citadel.
The set includes 10 minifigures: Gandalf the White, Faramir, Denethor, Peregrin Took, Aragorn as King Elessar, Arwen, and four Soldiers of Gondor. Shadowfax is also included, alongside accessories such as Gondorian helmets, shields, and Aragorn’s crown.
Priced at $649.99 USD, the LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith set will be available to LEGO Insiders beginning June 1, 2026, followed by a wider retail release on June 4. Purchases made between June 1 and June 7 will also include a LEGO Icons The Lord of the Rings: Grond battering ram promotional set while supplies last.
