Tetris Celebrates 30 Years!

Long before FarmVille and Candy Crush Saga dominated game-play on Facebook, the computer puzzle game Tetris was the guilty gaming pleasure of choice for millions of home computer and Nintendo Game Boy users.

Invented in 1974 by computer engineer Alexey Pajitnov while he worked at the Soviet Academy of Sciences, the game recently celebrated its 30th birthday.

Despite its advancing age, the game remains relevant today – with a 30th anniversary edition of the game set released for two of the newest video game consoles: the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
