“You treat her like a lady, and she’ll always bring you home.” ~Dr. McCoy
Fanhome heads to the final frontier with the launch of an all-new collection of Star Trek Starship models. Created in collaboration with Paramount, this exciting new assortment follows in the footsteps of predecessors like AMT and Eaglemoss by bringing fans meticulously recreated scale replicas of Starfleet’s finest vessels.
Under the stewardship of industry veteran Ben Robinson, the collection covers all the modern Star Trek series. This includes live-action staples Strange New Worlds and Discovery, as well as animated offerings from fan-favourite shows Lower Decks and Prodigy. In addition, each model will be engineered in the same scale as the most recent Starship collections, meaning they’ll fit right alongside any previous releases currently docked on your bookshelf or mantel.
The first three ships set for release are:
- S.S. Titan NCC-80201-A, Captain Shaw’s Constitution III-class ship from Star Trek: Picard
- S.S. Stargazer NCC-82893, Rios’ Sagan-class ship, which featured in Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard
- S.S. Faragut NCC-1647, the ship that a young James T. Kirk is serving on during the Strange New Worlds era
All models in the Star Trek Starships collection will be crafted from a combination of diecast metal and high-quality resin. Typical models will range in size from 7- to 9-inches long and will include both a display base and collector-friendly packaging. There will also be premium XL-sized models released for major ships that will measure approximately 11-inches long. Fanhome plans to work closely with Paramount Global to ensure that each model is as accurate as possible and based on the original visual effects models that were used in the creation of each series.
As an added bonus, every model includes a 16-page magazine that will provide an in-universe profile of the ship upon which it is based, as well as a glimpse behind-the-scenes at the design process complete with exclusive art and new interviews with members of the production team.
The collection will begin releasing on a monthly basis starting in November. Each ship will be made available exclusively from Fanhome.com. Priced at $64.99 USD each, there will also be a special regular-issue deal in place of $54.99 USD for those who subscribe — with an extra discount for the first issue. Subscribers will also get a unique variant ship and other exclusive gifts.
