Philadelphia’s Please Touch Museum puts discovery in the hands of children through exhibits and special events designed to ignite curiosity in young minds.
Founded in 1976, Please Touch Museum has grown from a modest 2,200-square-foot pilot project to a renowned museum located in the Centennial District of Philadelphia. Housed in a former arts building created for the 1876 Centennial World’s Fair, the two-storey space provides an interactive learning environment that centres play.
Through four core values — curiosity, community, engagement, and excellence — the Museum strives to instill self-confidence in its young visitors by providing a safe space to explore, learn, and have fun. Permanent exhibits include Adventure Camp, Healthy Me, Centennial Innovations, Cents and Sensibility, River Adventures, Imagination Playground, the hands-on Albert M. Greenfield Makerspace Studio, and more.
A $5M resiliency campaign is underway to ensure the mission of the Museum.
