A daily look back at the toys, games, and objects that captured our attention as children and continue to fascinate us today.

Playskool Tape Recorder (1992)

An advertisement from 1992 for the Playskool Tape Recorder, reflecting a time when cassettes were still king. The recorder sported a kid-friendly (ages 3 and up) design, complete with color-coded controls, rubber bumpers, and battery-saving auto shut-off. An attached microphone allowed kids to develop early Karaoke skills while a volume limiter was built-in, much to the relief of parents everywhere!

Remember the toys and games of years past through vintage advertising – for better and for worse!
