Following its unveiling last month at New York Toy Fair, LEGO is launching its first-ever Peanuts-themed building set.
Created by renowned cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, Peanuts debuted as a daily comic strip on October 2, 1950. Featuring characters such as Charlie Brown, Lucy Van Pelt, Peppermint Patty, Snoopy, and Woodstock, this family-friendly franchise has entertained audiences for more than 75 years. Over time, the world of Peanuts has expanded far beyond the comics page, inspiring everything from board games to baseball caps and even the iconic Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine.
One of the most recognizable elements of the franchise is Snoopy’s red doghouse, which played a central role in much of Schultz’s storytelling. Whether serving as a writing desk for the World-Famous Author or transforming into the nimble aircraft of the Flying Ace, the doghouse functioned as more than a simple shelter, becoming a recurring setting for some of the franchise’s most memorable moments. It is a fitting subject, then, for LEGO’s first Peanuts collaboration.
Part of the LEGO Ideas line, the Peanuts: Snoopy’s Doghouse set features 964 pieces and stands over 10 inches tall when assembled. The model recreates a quiet outdoor scene with Snoopy and Woodstock gathered around a campfire, toasting marshmallows beneath a starry sky.
The set is designed with display flexibility in mind. Snoopy features an adjustable neck and legs, allowing for multiple poses, including lounging atop the doghouse with Woodstock resting on his belly, sitting upright at his typewriter, or standing beside the structure.
Aimed at adult builders, the set serves as a considered tribute to one of comic history’s most enduring characters. Recommended for ages 18 and up, the Peanuts: Snoopy’s Doghouse set is priced at $89.99 USD and is available for pre-order through LEGO.com, with a retail release scheduled for June 1.
