The National Toy Train Museum in Ronks, Pennsylvania, offers visitors a nostalgic journey through the world of model railroading. Established in 1977, the Museum is operated by the Train Collectors Association (TCA), a non-profit organization devoted to preserving and promoting the hobby of toy train collecting.
The Museum has approximately 20,000 pieces in its collection, about 8,000 of which are on display at any time for public viewing. The collection spans different eras, scales, and manufacturers from the early 1800s. The Museum features both permanent and rotating exhibits, showcasing the evolution of toy trains over time and highlighting different themes and aspects of the hobby. An interactive area for children encourages creativity and play.
The same building that is home to the National Toy Train Museum and the Toy Collectors Association also houses the Toy Train Reference Library, a research repository of more than 500,000 items.
