My Mixer from Gilbert Toys (1963)

My Mixer was a food-mixing device from The A. C. Gilbert Company that children could use to prepare a variety of food and desserts. The set included a hand-operated mixer with bowl, nylon beaters, and a unique measuring scale that could be used to proportion ingredients properly.

A booklet of 16 recipes offered such 1960s party staples as Liver Sausage Sandwiches, Shrimp Cocktail, Apricot Fluff, and Lime Delight. Cat, clown, and horse-shaped molds were also provided and could be used to pour desserts into for chilling.

Remember the toys and games of years past through vintage advertising – for better and for worse!
