Located in Denver, Colorado, Mile High Comics’ Jason Street Mega Store offers patrons access to more than 5 million comic books available in a whopping 45,000 square feet of space.
Owner Chuck Rozanski opened the Jason Street location in 1991. Its ever-evolving inventory includes comics from mainstream publishers like Marvel and DC to lesser-known independents and smaller presses. A majority of the available back-issues are organized by year, with rarer (and more expensive) Silver and Bronze Age titles separated from the newer Modern Age books.
In addition to comics, the Mega Store carries a variety of other pop-culture collectibles, including t-shirts, graphic novels, toys, and Funko Pop! figures. There’s also ample space set aside for events, including auctions and gaming tournaments. Authors and artists frequently drop by the store for scheduled signing events.
A bulk of Mile High’s inventory is for sale online, and they offer a mail order option for collectors unable to make the trek to the store. As part of services to collectors, the Mega Store accepts individual want-lists of hard-to-find and out-of-stock items, and alerts collectors to any change in availability via email. The New Issues Comic Express (NICE) is a club for subscribers who wish to receive a set of newly published titles on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
