At the peak of the spy-fiction television series’ popularity in 1965, Milton Bradley released The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Card Game. Like its namesake, the card game is fast-moving. Two to six players race to acquire the most chips before the game ends.
There are 42 cards in the deck, seven each of the numbers 1 through 6, and 50 blue chips. At the beginning of the game, each player is dealt a hand of three cards. The remaining cards are placed, number side down, in a Draw pile.
Players play lay down cards, one at a time, to a central pile and then refill their hands. If the total of all previously played cards is a multiple of 10, the player scores an “UNCLE” and collects chips from the pot. A player receives one chip for each multiple of 10 (i.e. 10 = 1 chip, 40 = four chips).
When the pot is empty, the game ends. Players count their chips and the one with the most wins.
