Thanks to a raft of feature upgrades, the iconic design toy, Lite-Brite, now comes in high definition.
Lite-Brite Oval HD continues to provide children with a black canvas full of holes, multi-coloured pegs, and a light source — but now there are 50% more holes to work with than the Classic grid. The set also includes 650 mini-sized plastic pegs — three times the original. Children can still choose to create their own designs or use one of eight reusable templates, including a bird, birthday cake, cat, dog, elephant, iguana, monster truck, and an alien spaceship.
Once finished, a design can be lit up using one of five different lighting modes: three colour changing patterns (fad, flash, white light) and two animations (slow, fast flash) that give the illusion of movement.
Lite-Brite Oval HD is powered by three AA batteries, increasing portability options over the Classic. A kickstand at the back of the toy allows for easy table-top display, and it can be hung on a wall via a built-in keyhole.
