Knight Rider K.I.T.T. is the latest offering in Playmobil’s stable of iconic pop-culture vehicles, joining the Back to the Future DeLorean, Ghostbusters Ecto-1, and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Machine.
Playmobil has equipped Detective Michael Knight’s futuristic, A.I.-based car with many of the features that fans will fondly remember from the TV show, including a printer underneath the dashboard for printing out mug shots, a rotating number plate, a cord with a grappling hook, pop-up headlights, and a detachable roof.
K.I.T.T. emits a range of audio clips familiar from the TV show in K.I.T.T.’s original voice. While the car is talking, the scanner light on the front of the vehicle lights up and the dashboard light flickers. Lights are also activated by touching the car’s bonnet.
K.I.T.T. can seat up to four figures. In addition to the title character, the set includes the show’s Devon Miles and Dr. Bonnie Barstow, along with their office and computer lab accessories.
Adding Knight Rider K.I.T.T. to your David Hasselhoff collection will set you back $89.99 USD. The vehicle will hit the market in July and will be available to order directly from the company’s online store.
