With the Goldfinger Edition of the iconic Aston Martin DB5 from Playmobil, James Bond fans can be shaken and stirred.
The company’s reproduction model of the iconic auto measures nearly 12-inches long. It retains the elegance and sophistication of the real-world sport coupe, right down to the silver bodywork, round headlights, and distinctive radiator grille.
Just like it is in the classic film, the DB5 is decked out with all necessary spy gadgets 007 needs to complete his mission, including revolving number plates, a passenger ejector seat, extendible ramming bumpers, and a retractable bulletproof screen. The car’s roof is also removable and a cache of non-functional weapons is stowed under the front headlights.
In addition to a 3-inch articulated James Bond figure, the set includes three other characters from the movie: Auric Goldfinger, Oddjob, and a generic henchman.
Later this month, the Aston Martin can be purchased directly from the Playmobil online store or through various other online resellers for $89.99 USD.
