Wow! Stuff has inked a new distribution deal with Flybar that will see the UK-based manufacturer’s innovative range of HYPR Rockets blasting off for North America this summer.
Debuting last year at the Toy Association’s 2023 Preview event in Dallas, HYPR is a line of kid-safe rocket kits that successfully brings one of the world’s longest-running hobbies into the 21st century. While still based around a classic concept that encourages active outdoor play, this new series of soft-tipped stomp rockets takes things a step further by offering consumers a chance to launch them in either Normal or Turbo mode — something Kenny McAndrew, head of product development at Wow! Stuff, says was hypothesized by the modern-day space race and a challenge that asked: What would happen if kids could boost their rocket’s performance?
Perfect for use in smaller areas like the backyard or garden, Normal Mode acts just like a regular stomp rocket that is launched into the air by stomping on the included air pad. However, in Turbo Mode, HYPR Rockets get an extra boost courtesy of a patented switch system that propels them up to an incredible 500 feet! This cutting-edge design makes the HYPR Rocket 500 the fastest, farthest-flying toy rocket in its category according to Wow! Stuff.
In addition to the standalone model, a duelling HYPR kit is also planned with multiple rockets and a special double launcher for double the fun! Hoping to encourage some friendly competition among budding rocketeers, the HYPR range also features a special Rocket Expansion Platform so players can connect their rockets for fantastical flight and height contests. This patented design allows for multiple participants and can be set up and connected in seconds for hours of high-flying fun!

The single-release HYPR Rocket 500 will be available in North America this summer for $17.99 USD. The Duelling HYPR Rocket 500 set will touch down in February 2024 for $29.99 USD.
