Released in 1978, Kenner’s GyroMaze gave new meaning to the term “rock and roll.”
The “wiggly, wobbly game of skill & balance” challenged children ages five and up to stand on a hard-plastic platform and use only their body movement to guide a marble through a maze. The labyrinth-inspired game board measured approximately 18-inches across and weighed close to 5 lbs.
Kenner integrated a 45-second timer into the game, allowing “GyroMazers” to claim victory by successfully moving the marble between the start and finish markers before time expired.
