Gumball Banks from Hasbro (1968)

In 1968, Hasbro released a line of toy gumball banks based on popular children’s characters, including Bozo the Clown, Popeye, Fred Flintstone, and Mickey Mouse. Each penny bank featured a clear plastic bust of a character’s head, and the multi-colored, sugarless gumballs could be seen through the face. A great way to save pennies and get a sweet treat at the same time!
