Green Hornet Signal Ray from Colorforms (1966)

This 1966 in-store advertisement promotes the Green Hornet Signal Ray from Colorforms. The Signal Ray was roughly 7-inches long and ran on two C-size batteries. The base was adorned with a hornet insect design made popular by the short-lived television show. Two plastic end caps completed the construction. One end of the flashlight projected a “glowing green hornet signal” onto a nearby wall or ceiling and also featured two red light-up “eyes” for visual impact.

Remember the toys and games of years past through vintage advertising – for better and for worse!
