Hold on to your lasagna because everyone’s favourite feline is jumping off the printed page and into the world of collectible action figures!
Created by cartoonist Jim Davis and launched nationwide in 1978, Garfield is a popular comic strip that chronicles the life of a lazy, orange cat along with his human owner Jon Arbuckle, and Odie the dog. Expanded into cartoons, movies, and even video games, Garfield is touted as one of the most recognizable characters in popular culture and currently holds the Guinness World Record for being the most widely syndicated comic strip, with over 263-million readers worldwide.
In an industry first, Boss Fight Studio has announced a brand-new series of action figures based on the Garfield comic strip. Known for everything from their creative and imaginative IPs like Saurozoic Warriors, and fan-favourite licenses ranging from Fraggle Rock to Popeye, the creator-owned company is venturing into new territory by transforming Garfield and his friends into 4-inch plastic playthings. Each figure boasts multiple points of articulation and includes a selection of accessories and interchangeable parts, ensuring endless hours of fun for fans and collectors.
Garfield, the iconic tubby tabby, is known for both his insatiable appetite and distaste for Monday mornings. This all-new action figure perfectly captures his essence with 25 points of articulation for multiple posing options and includes a tray of lasagna, swappable expressions, and his beloved teddy bear Pooky.
Sweet but goofy, Odie is not only the very definition of a very good boy but is also Garfield’s best buddy — not that Garfield would ever admit it! This all-new action figure is endearing, with 17 points of articulation, a food bowl, swappable tongue-out mouthpiece, and an interchangeable wagging tail accessory.
Rounding out this first wave is Nermal. Perhaps the world’s cutest kitten, Nermal often finds himself on the receiving end of Garfield’s more mischievous pranks. Add some cuteness to your display with this all-new figure featuring 17 points of articulation, swappable closed eyes, a ball of yarn, and a box destined to be mailed to far-off lands! First Class to Abu Dhabi, anyone?
Set to be the purr-fect addition to any collection, these all-new Garfield action figures are currently available for pre-order through the official Boss Fight Shop and select retailers. Priced at $35 USD each, the figures are expected to begin shipping out in the second quarter of 2025.
