Flea Circus from Mattel (1966)

“The game you itch to play!”

Released in 1966 from Mattel, Flea Circus was a three-dimensional skill game for one or more players. Each player attempted to score points by making small magnetic fleas perform a series of circus tricks, including hopping on a tightrope, riding a unicycle, and performing trapeze acts.

There were ten possible tricks to perform in the “wackiest show on earth.” Players were assigned acts by drawing special Trick Cards, and a giant Flea Timer was used to track the time to complete each stunt. Each player was required to perform four of nine standard tricks, plus the Grand Finale (shown in the photo above.)

The Champion Flea Trainer was the player who attained the highest score for five tricks.
