Diecast Heroes is a quarterly print and digital magazine featuring designers, customizers, and collectors of Hot Wheels vehicles.
Diecast Heroes showcases the creativity and ingenuity of diecast customizers while serving to inspire those with a budding interest in the hobby. It is the brainchild of Tony and Carmen Matthews, a husband-and-wife team with an interest in car culture and custom auto projects. First published in March 2021, each edition brings to life a specific theme applied to diecast vehicles such as video games, cyberpunk, and the sci-fi multiverse.
Recent issues of the magazine feature Hot Wheels designer Larry Wood, collector Bruce Pascal, historian Mike Zarnock, and other notable personalities in the Hot Wheels universe.
A portion of the proceeds from each edition is donated to a charitable “toy run” program.
