“Calling Dick Tracy…”
Chester Gould’s classic crime-fighter is back on the case in an all-new boxed set from Mezco Toyz!
Said to be inspired by U.S. federal agent Eliot Ness, Dick Tracy is a tough and intelligent detective who first debuted in a 1931 comic strip. Eventually expanding into animation, TV, radio, and feature film, Tracy’s award-winning exploits would predate even those of Superman. Portrayed by everyone from Ralph Byrd to Warren Beatty, this famed flatfoot continues to be an icon of popular culture more than 90 years later and ranks right alongside the likes of Sherlock Holmes and Sam Spade as one of the most famous fictional detectives of all time.
As the latest addition to the popular One:12 Collective line of high-end action figures, this terrific two-pack pits the private eye against fiendish foe Flattop Jones for the first time in six-inch scale. It’s a colossal clash of cops and robbers that’s a must for fans of the Golden Age gumshoe!
Inspired by his original comic strip appearance, Dick Tracy comes to fans dressed in a tailored three-piece suit, trench coat, and fedora. Ready for action straight out of the box, this fully articulated figure features all the tools of the trade, including a service revolver, handcuffs, flashlight, two-way radio wristwatch, police badge, coffee mug, and more. Authentically detailed and hand painted, Tracy features three interchangeable heads with varying expressions and no less than 13 swappable hands for a number of different display options. Special effects pieces are also included, along with a One:12 Collective display base and adjustable display post perfect for the serious collector.
Meanwhile, contract killer Flattop Jones Sr. features a tailored purple suit, an overcoat complete with a faux-fur collar, bow tie, and dress shoes. Fully articulated and ready to eliminate the relentless lawman at any coast, Flattop is equipped with enough firepower to get the job done thanks to the inclusion of a handgun with two removable magazines, a sawed-off shotgun, and his trademark tommy gun, which can be broken down and stored in an oversized violin case. Like Tracy, Flattop is authentically detailed and hand-painted. The rogues gallery hitman also comes with four different interchangeable heads, a display base, and an adjustable display post.
