A vintage dealer ad from 1986 for the Creative Music Maker from Fisher-Price.
Designed for children ages 4 and up, the Creative Music Maker was a combination microphone and built-in keyboard. Powered by a single 9-volt battery, the toy had three modes:
- It could play eight pre-recorded songs.
- It could record and playback up to 79 notes via its two-octave keyboard.
- It could tap into an unused FM frequency to allow kids to sing and hear their voice on the radio.
The Creative Music Maker included a built-in microphone stand and an illustrated songbook that included a variety of easy-to-learn songs and lyrics.
