The Comic-Con Museum creates experiences that celebrate the stories and characters found in comics, film, and other forms of pop-culture entertainment.
Located in historic Balboa Park, the Comic-Con Museum is an extension of the San Diego Comic-Con International brand. Announced in 2017 and opened to the public in 2021, the museum works with collectors, artists, and industry leaders to host events and offer year-round programming.
Past events include a retrospective of the work of artist Josh Agle (Shag), Will Eisner Week features, and the pet-friendly PAWminion gathering, in addition to workshops and other cultural attractions.
The Comic-Con brand began in 1970 as the Golden State Comic Book Convention. Since that time, the organization has grown to become the preeminent gathering for pop-culture enthusiasts.
