Classic Captain Canuck from Executive Replicas

Created by Richard Comely and Ron Leishman, Captain Canuck is the superhero alter ego of Tom Evans, a Canadian secret agent whose encounter with alien beings grants him superhuman strength. Debuting in 1975’s Captain Canuck #1, the character helped revive Canada’s comic book industry following its decline after World War II and has spent the last 50 years as a distinctly Canadian superhero.

Outside of comics, Captain Canuck has appeared in animation and was honoured by the Royal Canadian Mint with a special $20 coin in 2018. In 1995, Canada Post issued a commemorative stamp featuring the character alongside the likes of Superman, Johnny Canuck, Fleur de Lys, and Nelvana of the Northern Lights. While other individuals, including Darren Oaks and RCMP Constable David Semple, have taken up the Captain Canuck mantle over the years, Tom Evans remains the character most closely associated with the name.

Now, Executive Replicas brings the Canadian crusader into the world of three-dimensional plastic with Classic Captain Canuck. Created in partnership with Comic House and Lev Gleason Publications, Inc., the 1:12-scale action figure stands six inches tall and wears the signature red-and-white maple leaf costume introduced in 1975. The figure features 38 points of articulation and includes two interchangeable heads and eight interchangeable hands.

Priced at $74.99 USD, Classic Captain Canuck is currently available for pre-order through Executive Replicas and select specialty retailers. Shipping is expected to begin during the second quarter of 2027.
