BLIP from TOMY (1977)

Released by TOMY in 1977, Blip was a hand-held version of Atari’s popular Pong video game. Although advertised as “the digital game”, Blip was almost entirely an electro-mechanical gaming option – relying on a series of cogs and motor to move the red LED back and forth across the screen.

Remember the toys and games of years past through vintage advertising – for better and for worse!
