Betty Crocker Juicer/Blender from Kenner (1980)

Long before whipping up a batch of kale smoothies became all the rage, Kenner released the Betty Crocker Juicer/Blender.

Geared toward children ages 8 and up, the Juicer/Blender looked and worked like the adult-sized version that kids saw in their parents’ kitchen. The blender sported a 1970s colour-scheme and weighed a hefty 3lbs when the required 4 D-batteries were inserted. Two orange switches on the base, allowed the Juicer/Blender to be powered on and off and run on low or high-speed.

The set included a power base, two interchangeable blender containers, plastic mixing blade, juicer attachment, cover, and recipe book.

Remember the toys and games of years past through vintage advertising – for better and for worse!
