The Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, Georgia, has pivoted to digital programming as a way of providing online access to exhibitions — adapting as many museums are to the coronavirus.
The museum’s special exhibition, Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal: World of Myth and Magic, opened in 2018 and was recently extended through the end of June. Thanks to a virtual tour from Museum Director Jill Nash Malool, fans of the puppet-animated fantasy film can enter the mystical world of Thra through her eyes.
At just over 5 minutes long, the tour features props and puppets that were used to bring the film to life. It’s the next best thing to being there!
Plan your next vacation to include a visit to a play-related store, museum, or private collection.
