Editor’s Note: Released by Kenner in 1980, the Darth Vader Collector’s Case was part of the toy company’s The Empire Strikes Back collection. The case was a three-dimensional moulded likeness of Lord Vader’s sleek but menacing mask. The hinged case provided storage for 31 Star Wars action figures and their accessories. The toy came with adhesive labels to be placed on the individual compartments, printed with the name of each action figure. The carrying case allowed young fans to organize, protect, and transport their growing collection, making it a coveted item for Star Wars enthusiasts then and now.
