Editor’s Note: Space: 1999 was a science fiction series created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson that aired from 1975 to 1977. The show followed the crew of Moonbase Alpha after an explosion sent the Moon out of orbit, launching them on a journey through deep space. Mattel acquired the licence to produce figures and playsets based on the series, which developed a cult following and remains popular among sci-fi fans today.
