Editor’s Note — Released by Mattel in 1985, Spydor was a battery-operated toy based on the eponymous character from the Masters of the Universe (MOTU) franchise. Mattel began manufacturing MOTU toys in 1982 with figures, vehicles, playsets, movies, video games, and other entertainment media being developed through the decades as the popularity of He-Man, She-Ra, Skeletor, and other characters grew.
