Editor’s Note: The Fairey Rotodyne was a British aircraft developed in the 1950s for both commercial and military applications. Although it never advanced beyond the prototype stage, it demonstrated the potential of hybrid rotary and fixed-wing flight. Airfix later produced a model kit of the aircraft, securing its place in the world of scale modelling despite its limited real-world use.
