NBA superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo, has teamed up with Nike to help celebrate UNO’s 50th anniversary. The first-ever collaboration between Nike and Mattel includes an UNO-inspired footwear line, apparel capsule collection, and a custom UNO card deck.
The footwear line features UNO-ized versions of the Air Force 1 and Zoom Freak 3s sneakers, as well as the Offline Mule slip-on. The entire line makes liberal use of UNO’s red, blue, green, yellow, and black colour palette. Other elements from the game, such as the 50th-anniversary logo and wild cards, have also been worked into the design.
Complementary apparel in the UNO x Nike capsule collection includes a cotton t-shirt and baseball cap featuring Antetokounmpo’s number 34 in UNO cards.
A limited-edition, Giannis-branded UNO card game is also in the mix. The deck features an updated look and a new “force a turnover” rule that allows players to steal an extra discard during gameplay. The Giannis deck and new rule are also integrated into the popular UNO Mobile App through November 2021 only.
