The SPIRIT of Games & Gamers was a digital magazine for card- and board-game players.
Created in collaboration with the folks that brought zines Sumo and Counter to life, The SPIRIT of Games & Gamers aimed to keep analog gaming top-of-mind in an era of electronic play. Launched in the summer of 2018, the magazine looked at new and vintage games through a fresh lens. Readers were given insight into the attributes of featured games and the writers provide solid opinions on the pros and cons of the games profiled.
Each edition also included special features, such as practical advice on how to navigate large gaming conventions.
The SPIRIT of Games & Gamers was published quarterly.
Editor’s Note: After the passing of former editor, Kendall Johns, the SPIRIT of Games & Gamers was renamed to Tabletop Spirit.
