The Gilbert House Children’s Museum – is named after A.C. Gilbert, the Salem-born toy inventor and creator of the Erector Set.
Comprising three historic houses ‒ Rockenfield House, Gilbert House, and Parrish House ‒ the museum originally housed the National Toy Hall of Fame before it moved to Rochester, New York. Along with exhibits, the museum also offers family learning activities, workshops, camps, and classes that engage, entertain, and inspire creative play.
