The second largest city in Estonia, Tartu is home to many of the country’s most renowned institutions, such as the Supreme Court of Estonia, the University of Tartu, the Estonian National Museum, Science Centre AHHAA, and the Tartu Toy Museum.
Perhaps referring to the Tartu Toy Museum as a “renowned institution” is overstating matters, but the Museum is certainly an essential stop when touring Tartu. It is comprised of three old houses – each with a unique purpose – from displaying dolls & toy trains and airplanes to providing a venue for theatre performances, a playroom, and children’s studio.
The Museum is a great place for families to play, discover, and feed their curiosities together.
