Star Wars Ani-Digi Temp Watches from Citizen

To coincide with the latest Star Wars Day on May the 4th, Citizen released the first two watches in its new line of retro Ani-Digi Temp watches. The watches, which combine analog and digital display components plus an additional temperature readout, are based on characters and plot points from the original Star Wars movie trilogy. The line also draws inspiration from Citizen’s analog-digital watches of the 1980s.

The battery-powered silver Rebel Pilot is housed in a stainless-steel rectangular case and designed to resemble the cockpit controls of the X-wing starfighter. The wearer has access to side-by-side dual analog time displays adorned with both the Rebel Alliance logo and an outline of the ship itself. The watch includes an alarm, digital date readout, and temperature display.

The Trench Run watch comes in Empire-inspired black stainless-steel. Its dual-time display is adorned with both X-Wing and Tie Fighter views. Like the Rebel Pilot, it also includes an alarm, temperature display, and digital date.

Both models are also splash resistant.

Fans of the Star Wars franchise can look forward to four other watches coming this Fall: C3P0, R2D2, Darth Vader, and Boba Fett. The Rebel Pilot checks in at $350 USD, while the Trench Run costs $375 USD. Both watches are available from a variety of online retailers and directly from the Citizen online store.
