Fans and collectors of soft vinyl toys (called Sofubi) have a new online resource: Sofubiki: The Sofubi Wiki.
The dedicated site is organized into four main sections–Sofubi 101, Makers, Resources, and Explore–and caters to all ranges of experience and expertise within this growing hobby.
Sofubi 101 is a great place for beginners to start, providing the basics behind the Sofubi production process, terminology, a timeline of key events, and cultural influences behind the designer toys.
The Makers section includes a directory of individual artists and collectives that engage in Sofubi development, as well as a list of manufacturers that mass-produce the vinyl toys.
Resources is a roundup of third-party information sources about the topic broken down by publications, websites, online stores, and events.
Finally, the Explore section discloses the history behind the site and how fans can contribute to its content. In true Wiki fashion, once a user has registered on the site, they can edit existing articles and create new ones.
