A daily look back at the toys, games, and objects that captured our attention as children and continue to fascinate us today.

Shaker Maker Trolls from Toymax (1992)

A note from the editor: Shaker Maker allowed children to create moulded figures from water and powdered casting material. The toy was created by Allen Greenberg and originally released by Ideal Toy Company in 1971. Toymax acquired the license to produce Shaker Maker sets in the 1990s and released sets based on popular properties, such as Trolls — demonstrated in this video from Lucky Penny Shop.
