Record Collector

First published in March 1980, Record Collector is a British print magazine designed for music fans and vinyl collectors.

The magazine has a long history of covering the music industry. It established itself as an authority by avoiding coverage of fads and one-hit wonders in favour of highlighting rare recordings and releases by respected musicians. Within its pages, music aficionados find profiles, discographies, interviews, and historical background on featured artists from all eras and genres. Recent profiles include Bob Marley. Pink Floyd, Robert Plant, Kid Creole, Joy Division, Otis Redding, Elvis, The Clash, and other music-industry luminaries.

Record Collector also educates collectors on the art of curating a meaningful record collection.

13 issues are published per year, as well as the Rare Record Price Guide. Back issues can be purchased through the magazine’s website.
