Pop Culture Preservation Society

The Pop Culture Preservation Society podcast reminds listeners of the pop culture goldmine that arose from the 1970s and 1980s.

With the perspective of the Generation X demographic, hosts Carolyn, Kristin, and Michelle look back at iconic cultural elements and toys, such as the Easy-Bake Oven, memorable television shows like The Brady Bunch, and catchy K-tel records. Launched in November 2020, each episode centres around a theme that ignites memories for those who experienced the era first-hand, and introduces younger generations to trends of the time that continue to influence society today.

Gateway episodes include A Scooter for Jimmy, A Dolly for Michelle (episode 3); Schoolhouse Rock: The Harvard of TV (episode 12); Kristin’s K-tel Kollection (episode 29); and 1976: From Pet Rocks to Patriotism (episode 38).
